2013 NaNo WriMo Day 6

Wrimos! How’s your first full week of National Novel Writing Month going? Many of you have plunged in and swum far, with word-counts rising in your wake. But some of you may still be on the seashore, or have just begun to wade in.

Swimmers! Got a great tip, or piece of encouragement for the writer who’s just beginning to dive into the waters toward 50K?

(Also, there’s no better time to stockpile words than during our all-day writing marathon this Saturday, November 9! No word count will be left behind.)

2013 NaNo WriMo Week 0

NaNo WriMo Official Site Update

Welcome to Week Zero! NaNoWriMo is this Friday, and anticipation at HQ is at an all-time high. This week comes with 2013’s inaugural pep talks from Rainbow Rowell and James Patterson, author Teri Brown as your NaNo Coach, and a Map to the Month headed your way.

NaNoWriMo is even more fun with a friend, and today is officially NaNo Recruitment Day! Your loved ones have stories to tell: encourage them to write with you this November in—holy catfish!—five days.

Writing Thoughts for the Week

Writing Thoughts for the Week:

1. Make time in your schedule for writing every day – no matter how small the amount of time.

2. When you write, just write. Don’t worry about what you are going to write or how it comes out.

3. Take pleasure in the creative process. Let your imagination have its way with you.

4. Always, always, always, celebrate! You are a writer. Know it!
